Tools for producing bills of materials proved quite useful and fairly flexible, but they were also a bit cumbersome.
Opening a Properties dialog box for cylinders allows entering physical parameters, such as bore, stroke, and rod diameter. Symbols can be dragged into a library for subsequent simulation they don't merely exist as graphics. Latest software not only serves as a drawing, design, and training aid, but allows simulation by prompting the user for system parameters.
